Mia the AI Enters Group Chats—iMe Redefines Conversation with Personality and Voice
iMe, a feature-rich messaging application built on Telegram’s open platform, has officially launched AI Chat 3.0, a major update to its AI assistant. This release builds on the success of AI Chat 2.0 and introduces a suite of advanced features, including enhanced conversational AI roles, voice message generation, and improved contextual understanding. The update also marks the debut of Mia, a group chat AI assistant designed to engage in natural, personality-driven interactions.
Mia is a standout feature of the update, offering users a conversational AI that can be added to group chats with admin rights. Unlike traditional bots, Mia does not require inline buttons or mentions to respond—users can simply type a question or statement, such as “Mia, how are you feeling?” to initiate a conversation. Mia is equipped with a unique personality, humor, and context awareness, allowing her to keep conversations flowing and generate media on the fly. The integration of voice output allows Mia to respond in audio format, enhancing the conversational experience.
The 3.0 update also introduces new AI models to the iMe platform, including Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro, Llama 4 Maverick, Grok 3, and Grok 3 Mini. Gemini 2.5 Pro is the most recent and advanced version from GoogleGOOGL--, while Llama 4 Maverick and Grok 3 Mini are available for free use. These models support real-time internet access, enabling the AI assistant to provide current and accurate information without users leaving the chat.
Voice message generation is another key enhancement. Users can now ask the assistant to read any text aloud or engage in full voice-based interactions. This feature, paired with existing voice input functionality, allows users to send messages in any language without typing, making the assistant more accessible and user-friendly.
In terms of performance, the AI Assistant now better understands threaded conversations, asking fewer clarifying questions and maintaining context more effectively. New roles have been added to the assistant, including the whimsical “Dream Boyfriend,” offering more personalized and specific interaction scenarios. Additionally, a Reminder Section has been introduced to prompt engagement if the assistant has been inactive for too long. Users can customize or disable this feature in their settings.
The AI Assistant remains free for all users, with optional access to iMe Premium for increased usage limits and access to premium AI models. Interactions are managed through AI Credits, which can be earned daily—2 credits via Telegram and 4 via the iMe app—purchased through App Store, Google Play, or using Telegram Stars. Premium subscribers receive 80 credits per day and a 200-credit welcome bonus. Additional free credits can also be earned by watching short videos, up to five per day.
AI Chat 3.0 is available through the iMe app for Android, iOS, and Desktop, and can also be launched directly within Telegram. The assistant supports a wide range of functions, including answering questions, translating text, decision-making, image generation, and more—all accessible from within any chat.
With over 15 million downloads on Google Play and the App Store since its launch, iMe continues to innovate with a focus on integrating advanced AI tools into everyday communication. The latest update demonstrates a significant leap in functionality, enhancing the user experience while maintaining the seamless, user-centric design that has defined the platform.
