MFS Investment Management has released closed-end fund income distribution sources for five of its funds: MFS Charter Income Trust, MFS Government Markets Income Trust, MFS Intermediate High-Income Fund, MFS Intermediate Income Trust, and MFS Multimarket Income Trust. The funds' distributions are as follows: MCR ($0.04423), MGF ($0.01913), CIF ($0.02565), MIN ($0.03008), and MMT ($0.03061). The distributions are composed of net investment income, net realized short-term capital gains, net realized long-term capital gains, and return of capital or other capital source.

MFS Investment Management has recently released income distribution sources for five of its closed-end funds for the month of June 2025. The funds, including MFS Charter Income Trust (MCR), MFS Government Markets Income Trust (MGF), MFS Intermediate High-Income Fund (CIF), MFS Intermediate Income Trust (MIN), and MFS Multimarket Income Trust (MMT), have provided detailed information on their distributions.

The distribution amounts per share for the funds are as follows:
- MFS Charter Income Trust (MCR): $0.04423
- MFS Government Markets Income Trust (MGF): $0.01913
- MFS Intermediate High-Income Fund (CIF): $0.02565
- MFS Intermediate Income Trust (MIN): $0.03008
- MFS Multimarket Income Trust (MMT): $0.03061

These distributions are composed of net investment income, net realized short-term capital gains, net realized long-term capital gains, and return of capital or other capital sources. For instance, the MCR fund's distribution is mainly from net investment income (59%), while the MGF fund's distribution is primarily from return of capital (59%).

The funds have adopted a managed distribution plan, which allows them to distribute long-term capital gains and/or return of capital if sufficient investment income is not available monthly. This plan is subject to periodic review by the Board and may be amended or terminated at any time without prior notice to shareholders.

Investors should not draw conclusions about the funds' investment performance based on the distribution amounts or the terms of the managed distribution plan. The actual amounts and sources of distributions for tax reporting purposes may differ from the estimates provided and will be reported in a Form 1099-DIV for the calendar year.
