Sinaloa Attorney General Claudia Zulema Sánchez Kondo said the company has not contacted them, and they want to establish communication. Vizsla Silver paused operations in April 2025 due to security concerns, and the kidnapping has emerged as a top priority for state and federal authorities in Sinaloa. Authorities suspect a faction of the Sinaloa cartel, Los Chapitos, was involved in the kidnapping.
