Metaplanet Raises $515 Million to Boost Bitcoin Holdings by 4,710 BTC

Metaplanet, a prominent investment firm, has successfully raised $515 million through a new stock issuance. This significant capital raise was achieved by issuing 54 million new shares, following the exercise of 540,000 stock acquisition rights, which represented 29% of the total rights issued. The funds raised will be used to acquire an additional 4,710 BTC, valued at over $515 million. This strategic move positions Metaplanet as a major player in the Bitcoin market, with the company now holding over 580,000 BTC in its treasury. With approximately 1.31 million warrants, or 131 million shares, remaining to be exercised, Metaplanet has the potential to raise additional capital in the future to further expand its Bitcoin holdings.
