Metaplanet Boosts BTC Holdings to 2100, Eyes 21K by 2026

The Japanese publicly traded company Metaplanet has increased its BTC holdings by 68 coins, bringing its total holdings to 2100 BTC. This move comes as the company continues to expand its cryptocurrency portfolio, with a focus on Bitcoin.

Metaplanet's latest purchase of 68 BTC, valued at approximately $6.6 million, brings its total Bitcoin holdings to 2,100 BTC, which is equivalent to around $203 million. This represents approximately 0.01% of the total Bitcoin supply.

Metaplanet's stock has been performing well in the Japanese market, with a 2.78% increase on Thursday, closing at 6290 yen. The company's stock price has risen by 80.75% since the beginning of this year and has surged by 427.24% in the past six months.

Metaplanet has set ambitious targets for its Bitcoin holdings, aiming to hold 10,000 BTC by the end of 2025 and 21,000 BTC by the end of 2026. The company's strategy of increasing its BTC holdings is a clear indication of its confidence in the long-term potential of Bitcoin.
