This acquisition brings Metaplanet's total bitcoin holdings to 2,391 BTC, with an average purchase price of 12,475,149 yen per BTC, totaling 29.828 billion yen in investment.

Metaplanet's bitcoin balance has shown steady growth over the past year. From July 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024, the company's BTC balance increased by 41.7%. This growth continued into the next quarter, with a 30.9% increase from October 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. The company projects a further increase of 31.8% from January 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025.

The company's strategic investment in bitcoin reflects a growing trend among Japanese corporations to diversify their portfolios and hedge against inflation.
