The close of Token2049 Singapore in October 2025 highlighted
Earth's strides in advancing modular blockchain infrastructure and verifiable digital identity, positioning the project as a key player in the next phase of Web3 development. At the Marina Bay Sands event, Meta Earth demonstrated ME Network 2.0, a modular system integrating execution, settlement, and data availability layers, alongside live community engagement initiatives that underscored its commitment to real-world adoption.
Meta Earth's booth featured a public showcase of ME Network 2.0, which combines ME Hub as the settlement layer, RollApp chains for customizable execution, and ME-DA for cost-efficient data availability. By integrating these components into live demos, the project framed modular design
as a theoretical concept but as a functional "operating system" accessible to participants. CTO Daniel Maddern emphasized this shift in his keynote, "Beyond Layer 1," stating that modular infrastructure is essential for building a scalable, equitable digital economy[1].The network's technical roadmap includes decentralized sequencer governance, zero-knowledge proof integration for dispute resolution, and cross-chain interoperability via Multi-Blockchain Communication (MBC). These advancements aim to address inefficiencies in traditional Layer 2 solutions, such as centralized sequencers and high latency[1].
A focal point of Meta Earth's strategy is the ME ID Protocol, a decentralized identity framework enabling "One ID, One Vote" governance. At Token2049, attendees could register and print physical ME ID cards, linking their on-chain profiles to tangible credentials. This initiative, which has already verified 2 million users and processed 29 million Hub transactions, bridges technical architecture with user interaction[1].
The protocol's privacy-preserving design uses homomorphic encryption to maintain KYC compliance while giving users control over their data. Verified users also gain access to features like staking rewards, referral incentives, and participation in the decentralized sequencer network. As of April 2025, over 670,000 ME ID holders were active across 40 countries.
Meta Earth's "Show the E" airdrop, launched at Token2049, rewards sustained participation over a year, aligning with themes of Equality, Ecology, and Earth. Attendees contributed photos and videos flashing the "E" gesture, with submissions instantly visualized on a live global map. The campaign's immediate traction-hundreds of sign-ups during the event-demonstrated demand for gamified yet accountable engagement[1].
The project's Lucky Draw program further emphasized verification-driven incentives, requiring ME ID authentication and social media posts for entry. By tying rewards to verifiable actions, Meta Earth reinforces its ethos of inclusive governance and measurable participation[1].
Looking ahead, Meta Earth plans to release ME Network v2.0 in 2025, expand DeFi infrastructure, and strengthen institutional partnerships. The project's UBI model, which grants verified users daily staking rewards, aims to reduce wealth inequality while fostering long-term adoption.
Daniel Maddern stressed the importance of maintaining momentum: "Token2049 Singapore demonstrated that modular blockchain and verifiable identity are not future aspirations but present realities. The responsibility now is to carry this momentum into long-term, inclusive infrastructure worldwide"[1].
Meta Earth's upcoming events, including appearances at Istanbul Blockchain Week and WebX Asia 2025, will further solidify its global footprint.
