"Memhash Pioneers TONAPI Airdrop, Streamlining Gaming Token Distribution"
Memhash, a popular gaming mini-app, has become one of the first projects to adopt Tonkeeper’s new TONAPI Airdrop feature. This move allows Memhash to streamline token distribution on The Open Network (TON) using a tool designed by the Tonkeeper team to issue Jettons – TON’s native token standard. This adoption signals that TONAPI Airdrop is gaining traction, with Memhash leading the charge and putting the technology to the test.
The TONAPI Airdrop feature, embedded within TONAPI’s software-as-a-service platform, enables projects to conduct large-scale token distribution with minimal overhead. Unlike conventional airdrops that require costly minting or intermediaries, this system supports up to 10 million claims for a nominal TON fee, providing the desired ingredients of scalability and efficiency in equal measure.
Memhash CEO Nikolai explained the rationale behind his team’s decision to use the new Tonkeeper-developed feature: “Adopting the Jetton Airdrop feature aligns with our vision for a seamless, user-driven in-game economy. Eliminating manual distribution hurdles will make it easier than ever for players to engage with Memhash and claim their token rewards.”
For Memhash, this translates to a frictionless reward system within its gamified mining app. Players can claim tokens directly, enhancing engagement without technical barriers. Not only does this make life easier for dapps, but it reduces the time to token issuance, since projects can launch a native token at an earlier stage without being saddled by the cost.
TON’s unique architecture can theoretically process over 1 million transactions per second (TPS), even if in real terms the highest it’s hit in testing is closer to 100K – that’s still multiples faster than the likes of Ethereum with its 30 TPS. All of which is to say that TON is an apt backbone for such initiatives.
The combination of native integration into the Telegram messenger app and ultra-low fees have made TON a favorite network for retail users – and for projects creating dapps spanning gaming, DeFi, and SocialFi. Should these dapps gain traction and begin growing a community, they’ll naturally begin thinking about launching a native token, which is where Tonkeeper’s latest feature proves its worth.
