In the cryptocurrency market, while the top 10 coins by market capitalization have remained relatively stable over the past 24 hours, the meme coin sector has witnessed significant double-digit gains amidst a broader market lull. This trend has been particularly evident with Solana-based meme coins, such as TRUMP and VINE, which have experienced notable price increases.

TRUMP, an official token endorsed by the U.S. President, has surged by 12.4% over the past 24 hours, while Melania Meme (MELANIA), a token associated with the U.S. First Lady, has also seen a nearly 2% increase. These gains come on the heels of the U.S. President's controversial comments regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which have been met with skepticism and concern from both sides of the political aisle. Despite the criticism, the TRUMP token has rebounded from its lowest price since launch, following a 75% drop from its all-time high, which was likely influenced by the U.S. President's trade war with Canada, Mexico, and China.

Meanwhile, Vine Coin (VINE), launched by the founder of the classic mobile app, has climbed by 35.4% over the past 24 hours. Similarly, Vader AI (VADER), an AI agent created by the Virtuals Protocol, has increased by 11.8%, and Dogwifhat (WIF) has risen by 3.6%. The biggest winner in the meme coin category, however, is Fartboy (FARTBOY), a month-old Solana-based meme coin dedicated to a gassy superhero. FARTBOY has soared by 66.8% on the day and 79.5% over the week, potentially related to the U.S. National Fart Day celebration on Wednesday. The token's official Twitter account has hosted a $600 giveaway to mark the occasion.

Despite these gains, it is essential to note that the broader meme coin category has experienced a 6% decline on the day, according to CoinGecko. This suggests that while some meme coins are performing well, the sector as a whole is still facing challenges in the current market conditions.
