Meme Coin Market Favors Projects with Sustainable Growth, Low Inflation, Buybacks

Top trader Eugene Ng Ah Sio recently shared insights on the development of meme coins, highlighting that the market pattern for quality altcoins in meme projects is becoming increasingly clear. According to Eugene, projects that exhibit three key features are likely to receive a market premium. These features include a sustainable growth business model that is independent of the crypto market's bull and bear cycles, very low token inflation achieved through effective unlocking mechanisms, and a team that prioritizes the interests of token holders, often demonstrated by using some income for public market token buybacks.

Eugene noted that projects meeting all three criteria simultaneously are extremely rare, with HYPE being a prominent example. He foresees that the next batch of market winners is in the making. However, many tokens currently lack buy-side support due to the absence of one or more of these key features. Eugene emphasized that public market token buybacks are the simplest operationally for teams and carry the lowest regulatory risks compared to other methods like dividend distribution.
