MegaETH Stuns Crypto Community: No Airdrops for Testnet Participants

MegaETH, a high-speed testnet, has announced that it will not provide airdrop rewards to its testnet participants. This decision, revealed through the project's official X account, has surprised many in the crypto community, as airdrops are typically used as incentives to encourage participation in testnets.

The MegaETH team has not explicitly stated the reason behind this decision. However, it is possible that they are focusing resources on other aspects of the project. Despite the absence of airdrop rewards, the MegaETH testnet is still expected to launch soon, and users can still participate in the testnet by registering their wallets.

In other developments, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has held a meeting with representatives from Circle and wisdomtree to discuss crypto asset regulation. The meeting took place on March 5, 2025, with both companies providing relevant documents for discussion.

Meanwhile, coinbase has announced its plans to list the Renzo (REZ) token on the Ethereum network. The REZ token, an ERC-20 token, powers the Renzo ecosystem, a decentralized platform for creating and trading digital assets.

In a separate development, the Trump family's crypto project, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), has increased its holdings by purchasing 4,468 ETH, 110.6 WBTC, and 3.42 million MOVE. The purchase was made in the early hours of March 6, 2025, with the funds transferred to a new multi-signature wallet.
