Mawari has announced a strategic collaboration with Caldera to launch the Mawari Network, a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) designed to enable real-time streaming of AI-powered extended reality (XR) experiences on a global scale. The initiative combines Mawari’s patented 3D streaming technology with Caldera’s modular blockchain infrastructure, aiming to deliver high-performance, low-latency AR/VR experiences while reducing
usage by up to 80%. This integration is intended to facilitate seamless delivery of immersive and contextually relevant content, leveraging a globally distributed network of GPU nodes [1].The Mawari Network operates as a decentralized infrastructure layer, orchestrating storage, bandwidth, and rendering capabilities through edge computing nodes strategically located near end-users. This architecture offloads intensive rendering tasks from local devices, enabling immersive experiences on standard hardware without compromising quality. By anchoring performance metrics—such as latency, jitter, and frame accuracy—on Caldera’s high-throughput rollup, the platform ensures transparency and auditability of usage and quality data [2].
Early market adoption has already been demonstrated through partnerships with two of Japan’s leading VTuber agencies: Brave Group and Virtual Avex. These partners have participated in Mawari’s Early Access Program, gaining priority access to new features, onboarding support, and customized monetization opportunities. Mawari aims to extend these partnerships to a broader range of content creators and IP holders, supporting the evolution of immersive user experiences and business models [1].
Technically, the Mawari Network integrates Mawari’s spatial streaming capabilities with Caldera’s interoperability infrastructure, enabling a novel application of blockchain in the delivery of XR content. The platform’s Guardian Nodes produce signed quality-of-service (QoS) attestations, which are batched on-chain and used to inform node reputation, routing, and reward calculations based on observed performance [2].
This collaboration reflects broader industry trends in AI and metaverse development, where reducing latency, improving scalability, and enhancing accessibility are key challenges. The success of Mawari Network will depend on its ability to attract a robust ecosystem of developers, creators, and users capable of generating high-quality, real-time immersive content. The DePIN model also introduces new opportunities for individuals to participate in the network by contributing GPU capacity and earning rewards [1].
Caldera, a modular blockchain ecosystem, has previously supported over 27 million unique addresses and processed more than 850 million transactions. Its partnership with Mawari underscores the increasing role of blockchain in enabling innovative digital infrastructure, particularly in markets where immersive technologies are gaining momentum [1].
With the extended reality market expected to grow significantly in the coming years, platforms like Mawari Network may emerge as essential infrastructure for delivering next-generation immersive applications. The integration of AI, blockchain, and edge computing is seen as a potential enabler of new business models and user experiences, though it also presents challenges related to scalability and content quality [1].
The Mawari Network represents a significant step in the convergence of AI, immersive computing, and decentralized infrastructure. Its focus on reducing latency, lowering bandwidth requirements, and supporting global collaboration positions it as a promising infrastructure layer for the evolving digital landscape [2].
