Marzetti has acquired California-based Bachan's for $400m, boosting its sauces portfolio. Bachan's generates around $87m in sales annually and manufactures Japanese-American-style barbecue and dipping sauces. The acquisition will reinforce Marzetti's position as a global leader in sauces, aligning with consumer preferences for global flavors and better-for-you products. The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close before Marzetti's year-end on June 30.
