Marriott Vacation Clubs is further cementing its presence in the Asia Pacific region with the upcoming opening of the Marriott Vacation Club, Khao Lak Beach Resort in Thailand. Situated within the JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa, the new resort features 52 family suites converted into two-bedroom vacation ownership apartments, blending Southern Thai-inspired architecture with traditional furnishings.
The resort, set to debut in August 2025, offers a range of amenities including Southeast Asia's largest lagoon swimming pool, a kids' pool, 11 dining options, and additional amenities such as pickleball and basketball courts anticipated by the end of 2026. Sustainability initiatives at the resort include the elimination of single-use plastics, the use of reusable glass water bottles, and bamboo key cards.
The resort's expansion is part of a broader regional growth strategy that includes a new development at Marriott’s Bali Nusa Dua Terrace and the expansion of the marketing call center in Shanghai. Marriott Vacation Clubs plans to unveil 32 new apartments as part of the Bali expansion in early 2026, featuring one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with fully equipped kitchens and private plunge pools. Additionally, Marriott’s Enclave at Bali Nusa Dua Terrace will open next year, offering standalone two-story apartments with private pools and kitchens.
The Shanghai marketing call center has also been expanded, growing from 80 to 125 associates to support increased demand among Chinese Owners, Members, and vacationers. This expansion reflects Marriott Vacations Worldwide's long-term commitment to the region, driven by growing demand for vacation ownership experiences.
