Marriott Signs Deal to Open Six Hotels in India with Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited

The agreement, signed by Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International, and Ms. Nirupa Shankar, Managing Director, Brigade Group, among others, will see six new build projects come to life. The portfolio includes The Ritz-Carlton Vaikom Island in Kerala, JW Marriott Chennai OMR, Courtyard by Marriott Chennai World Trade Center, and Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru International Airport, among others. These new properties reflect the long-term growth potential of India's hospitality sector and Marriott's commitment to delivering high-quality hotels for both business and leisure travelers.
The Ritz-Carlton Vaikom Island, set to welcome guests in 2029, will bring the brand's timeless elegance to Kerala. The JW Marriott Chennai OMR, expected to open in 2030, will feature 250 stylishly appointed guest rooms and suites, along with multiple wellness spaces. The Courtyard by Marriott Chennai World Trade Center, anticipated to open in 2027, will offer 45 thoughtfully designed guestrooms and two dining outlets. Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru International Airport, slated to open in 2028, will provide easy access to the city's main business hubs.
This collaboration builds on the nearly 15-year partnership between Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited and Marriott International, further cementing their relationship. The agreement will expand Brigade's Marriott portfolio to eight hotels, totaling 1,388 keys. Brigade's upcoming Marriott portfolio includes six new properties, reflecting their strong belief in the long-term growth potential of India's hospitality sector.
