A ship, the Magic Seas, was attacked in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen, causing it to make water and prompting the crew to abandon the vessel. The attack was the first of its kind in the vital shipping corridor since mid-April and was attributed to the Houthi militant group by a security firm. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) and security firm Ambrey reported that the ship was struck by drones and small boats, and later by unmanned surface vehicles. The crew were reported to be safe, but the ship was damaged and on fire.
