Mantle's Stablecoin Surges 75% in 30 Days as Liquidity Flywheel Kicks In
Mantle’s ecosystem stablecoin has surged in value, adding roughly $375 million in market value over the past 30 days. The stablecoin’s market capitalization rose from about $494 million to nearly $870 million, highlighting the network’s push to become a full-stack on-chain liquidity and banking layer. This growth is driven by Mantle’s integrated staking and restaking stack, which channels yield and demand back into the ecosystem.
The staking and restaking stack, including mETH and cmETH, allows users to earn staking rewards while maintaining liquid assets. This composable stack feeds directly into stablecoin demand, as traders and protocols seek dollar liquidity backed by yield-bearing collateral. Mantle’s stablecoin has become a natural settlement and liquidity layer inside the ecosystem, reinforcing confidence in its DeFi infrastructure.
Mantle’s deep treasury and “fortress” balance sheet further support the stablecoin’s growth. The DAO has a multi-billion-dollar treasury, including more than 270,000 ETHETH--, giving it ample capacity to backstop liquidity and defend key pegs when needed. This financial foundation has contributed to the stablecoin’s resilience despite wider market volatility.
Why Did This Happen?
Mantle’s ecosystem stablecoin has benefited from a liquidity flywheel integrating EthereumETH-- staking, restaking, and DeFi. This strategy has attracted more than $1 billion in total value locked in mETH, Mantle’s liquid staking token for Ethereum. The cmETH extension allows users to unlock additional yield without forcing them to unwind core ETH exposure.
The AaveAAVE-- integration has further catalyzed liquidity across Mantle’s broader DeFi ecosystem. The partnership helped Mantle and Aave reach a combined $1 billion in total market size in under three weeks. Mantle’s broader DeFi TVL climbed to an all-time high of $755 million, representing 66% growth in seven days. This milestone highlights Mantle’s emergence as a premier distribution layer for DeFi and real-world finance flows.
How Did Markets React?
BTCC TradFi, a recently launched product, has surpassed $200 million in trading volume since its February 10, 2026, launch. The platform allows users to trade traditional financial instruments using USDT as margin and settlement currency. To celebrate the milestone, BTCC introduced a zero-fee trading campaign for gold and silver pairs, which runs from March 5 to March 19, 2026.
Precious metals, particularly tokenized gold, have seen increasing demand on BTCC. In 2025, the platform recorded $5.72 billion in trading volume for these assets, with a significant year-over-year increase in Q4. This trend indicates growing interest in combining traditional finance with crypto infrastructure.

SoFi Technologies has partnered with BitGo to support the rollout of its bank-issued stablecoin, SoFiUSD. The stablecoin is the first issued by a U.S. nationally chartered and insured deposit bank on a public, permissionless blockchain. BitGo will provide stablecoin infrastructure services for SoFiUSD, supporting its issuance and helping connect the token with payment providers, market participants, and cryptocurrency exchanges.
This move aligns with the broader trend of growing momentum around federally regulated stablecoins for payments and settlements. Financial technology companies are expanding the infrastructure needed to support stablecoin payments and settlements, reflecting increasing institutional and regulatory confidence in the asset class.
