Major Layoffs Announced by International Paper, J.B. Hunt, Hormel and Other Companies

International Paper is cutting 1,093 jobs in Georgia, while J.B. Hunt is closing a Home Depot distribution center in Lithonia, Georgia, cutting 70 jobs. Hormel Foods is laying off 135 employees as it ends bacon production at its Tucker, Georgia, plant. Other companies including Web to Door, Silgan Containers, API Logistics, Green Rabbit, DP World, and GXO Logistics are also announcing layoffs, totaling 1,967 job cuts across the country.
