2. Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL)
Apple gained mildly by 0.60%. Apple launches macOS 15.1 Developer Preview Beta 2; ramps up iPhone 16 production; Citigroup increases Apple holdings in Q2; Vision Pro headset's Micro-OLED costs to drop; iPhone parts from India's factory reportedly falling short of quality standards; Foxconn hiring in Zhengzhou for iPhone 16 production.

3. Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT)
Microsoft gained mildly by 0.19%. Microsoft reported trading volume of $6.502 billion on August 12, ranking 5th among US stocks. Citigroup's Q2 holdings revealed Microsoft as one of its major stocks. Wedbush noted Microsoft's performance eased AI monetization concerns. Microsoft confirmed existing Tango Gameworks projects remain unaffected post-acquisition.

4. Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN)
Amazon dipped mildly by -0.08%. Amazon and TikTok announced a significant collaboration to enhance user shopping experiences directly on TikTok. Amazon's trading volume on August 12 was $5.025 billion, ranking 7th on US stock exchanges. Citigroup increased its Apple holdings in Q2, with Nvidia being the top holding at 4.4%.

5. Meta (Nasdaq: META)
Meta dipped mildly by -0.35%. Meta and Universal Music will deepen their partnership to create more commercial opportunities for artists and songwriters. Meta developed the VFusion3D model, advancing generative AI for 3D content. Meta Quest 3 and Pro headsets now support seamless multitasking.

6. Alphabet (Nasdaq: GOOG)
Alphabet dipped mildly by -0.87%. Former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki has died at 56. Google's security team discovered over nine critical vulnerabilities in Qualcomm Adreno GPU drivers. Perplexity AI seeks to challenge Google's dominance in the AI search market.

7. Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA)
Tesla dipped mildly by -1.26%. Tesla CEO Elon Musk received a letter from EU's Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton reminding him of the Digital Services Act's due diligence requirements. Musk acknowledged that Tesla's Cybertruck is too expensive and announced that AI model Grok 2 is coming soon. Tesla canceled its plans for a Southeast Asian factory.
