1. Meta (Nasdaq: META)
Meta gained mildly by 1.60%. Meta launched a new web crawler to train AI models, bypassing robots.txt restrictions. Meta insider transactions on August 19 disclosed 62 trades, with executive Christopher K. Cox selling 15,500 shares on August 16. Meta also introduced the Quest 3 SDK and immerGallery 3D camera application.

2. Nvidia (Nasdaq: NVDA)
Nvidia gained mildly by 0.98%. Nvidia's trading volume on August 21 was $32.878 billion, ranking first in the US stock market. HSBC maintains a buy rating on Nvidia with a target price of $145. Nvidia introduced an AI NPC in gaming for voice interactions. Geely's new flagship SUV featuring Nvidia's Thor chip is expected in Q3 2025.

3. Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA)
Tesla gained mildly by 0.98%. Tesla's new Model Y interior upgrades revealed. The EU exempts Tesla from harsh tariffs, impacting Chinese EV manufacturers. Tesla to recall over 9,000 Model X vehicles in the U.S. due to potential roof lining detachment issues. Tesla humanoid robot advancements include tactile capabilities in fingers.

4. Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN)
Amazon gained mildly by 0.69%. Amazon's new U.S. distribution center is now operational, costing $300 million. AI startup Anthropic, backed by Amazon and Google, faces a copyright lawsuit. Amazon Games announced the collaborative game "King of Meat" with Glowmade at the 2024 Cologne Game Show.

5. Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL)
Apple dipped mildly by -0.05%. Apple's long-time App Store head Matt Fischer will leave due to company reorganization amidst regulatory scrutiny. The UK's Competition and Markets Authority ended the investigation into Google Play and Apple App Store, planning new rules for digital market competition.

6. Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT)
Microsoft dipped mildly by -0.16%. Microsoft forecasts Q1 Intelligent Cloud revenue at $23.8B-$24.1B, with Azure and other cloud services expected to decline by 1-2%. They released the Phi-3.5 series AI models, including the hybrid expert model Phi-3.5-MoE, and a unified Teams app supporting all account types.

7. Alphabet (Nasdaq: GOOG)
Alphabet dipped mildly by -0.79%. Alphabet faces a collective lawsuit in a U.S. court over Google Chrome's data collection practices. Additionally, the UK's CMA ends its investigation into Google Play and plans new digital market regulations. Energix Renewables announces a long-term solar energy deal with Google.
