Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced plans to develop the Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve in Nauradehi as the third habitat for cheetahs in the state before the monsoon next year. The State cabinet has given in-principle approval for the project, which aims to create a home for the world's fastest animal. The first cheetah habitat was opened at the Kuno National Park in September 2022, and the second one at the Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary in April this year.
