A British Columbia Supreme Court judge has certified a class-action lawsuit against Canadian Pacific and Canadian National railways over the 2021 Lytton, B.C. fire. The lawsuit alleges that railway operations caused the catastrophic fire that destroyed most of the community. The certified class includes individuals who suffered losses in the fire, as well as family members of those who died and those who lost uninsured property.
