Lunda Construction Wins $60.2 Million Rothschild Dam Modernization Project

Lunda Construction has been awarded a $60.2 million contract to modernize the Rothschild Dam in Wisconsin for Domtar Paper Company. The project involves replacing an existing timber dam with a modern concrete dam and includes demolition, construction of a new control building, and installation of new dam gates. Lunda Construction Company, a subsidiary of Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), has been awarded a $60.2 million contract by Domtar Paper Company, LLC, for the modernization of the Rothschild Dam in Wisconsin. The project, valued at approximately $84 million, includes replacing the existing timber dam with a modern concrete dam, featuring cofferdams for river diversion, as well as demolition of the existing timber dam structure, installation of deep foundations, placement of reinforced concrete, construction of a new control building, installation of a prefabricated bridge, and installation of new dam gates.

Work on the project began in July 2025 and is expected to be substantially completed by early 2029. The contract value was added to Tutor Perini's backlog in the second quarter of 2025.
