Lowe's and Building Homes for Heroes have broken ground on Freedom Hill, a mortgage-free housing community for injured veterans and first responders in Mooresville, North Carolina. The 15-home neighborhood will provide access to financial counseling, physical and mental health resources, and emergency funding support. The project is funded through Lowe's Round Up for Charity campaign and aims to honor veterans and first responders who have given so much. Applications are now open for 100% service-disabled veterans, Gold Star families, and first responders.
