Long-term Survival Data from Phase III HARMONi Trial Shows Favorable Trend for Ivonescimab Plus Chemotherapy in Advanced Lung Cancer Patients

Summit Therapeutics announced data from the Phase III HARMONi trial for ivonescimab plus chemotherapy in 2L+ EGFRm NSCLC. The trial showed a positive trend in OS with a hazard ratio of 0.79 (95% CI: 0.62 – 1.01; p=0.057). Longer-term follow-up of western patients showed a median overall survival of 16.8 months for ivonescimab plus chemotherapy vs. 14.0 months for placebo plus chemotherapy. The results indicate clinically meaningful efficacy in a clinical setting where PD-1 monoclonal antibodies have previously failed to show benefits in Phase III global clinical trials.
