Life Time (NYSE: LTH) has announced the completion of its 55th Work Lounge space and plans for over 30 more across the U.S. by the end of next year. These lounges, integrated within existing clubs, offer members comfortable workspaces with high-speed connectivity as part of their regular membership.
In addition to the basic Work Lounges, 10 athletic country clubs have introduced premium Work Lounges with additional amenities such as printing, phone booths, and conference rooms, available for an extra fee. This tiered approach aims to enhance member engagement and create additional revenue streams.
Life Time Work, launched in 2018, is the only nationwide coworking concept that combines workspaces with health and wellness experiences. The expansion of Work Lounges strategically addresses multiple business objectives, including increased member dwell time and revenue per square foot. By repurposing existing club space, Life Time minimizes capital expenditure while maximizing revenue potential.
The company's expansion positions it at the intersection of growing markets: fitness, flexible workspaces, and "third places." By becoming a multipurpose destination, Life Time differentiates itself from traditional fitness clubs and coworking spaces like WeWork.
