Libero Copper & Gold Corporation (TSXV: LBC) (OTCQB: LBCMF) (DE: 29H) has initiated a significant resource expansion program at its flagship Mocoa Porphyry Copper-Molybdenum Deposit in Colombia's Jurassic Copper Belt. This 14,000-meter drill program aims to increase the potential of high-grade zones and further unlock the deposit's full potential. The program is a culmination of over two years of extensive groundwork and responsible project development.

The resource expansion program focuses on step-out activities to confirm extensions of the mineralized system and identify potential resource expansion areas. Additionally, in-fill work will improve the understanding of the geological structure and the distribution of copper (Cu) and molybdenum (Mo) grades. The program is based on detailed geological updates and extensive fieldwork, as well as airborne geophysics.

The commencement of resource expansion activities has begun with hole MD-044, an in-fill hole designed to test the extension at depth of the high-grade copper-molybdenum zone, which is interpreted to plunge northeastward. This hole will provide valuable information regarding the extent of historical high-grade intercepts and improve the understanding of the geology and distribution of Cu-Mo grades.

The Montclar Bridge construction, expected to be complete by the end of November 2024, will enhance community connectivity under the Cooperation Framework Agreement with the community of Montclar. This infrastructure project supports the resource expansion program and demonstrates Libero Copper's commitment to responsible development and collaboration with local stakeholders.

Prior to the expansion of activities, a detailed permit review was conducted, leading to the implementation of additional measures, such as expanding the rainwater collection system and enhancing waste management practices. These measures ensure compliance without requiring additional permits, further demonstrating the company's commitment to sustainable and responsible development.

The progress at Mocoa is a testament to the collaborative efforts between Libero Copper, the local community, and regional stakeholders. The initiation of drilling marks an important milestone for the project, as the company advances towards its goal of responsibly unlocking the full potential of the Mocoa deposit.
