LG Plans to Boost Electronics Production in India with New Investment and Local Manufacturing

LG Electronics plans to shift production of capital goods and high-tech components to India from Korea, China, and Vietnam. The company is investing ₹1,000 Crore to set up a new global R&D centre in Noida, which will create around 500 jobs. LG has already supplied machinery for Apple's iPhone 17 production in India to Foxconn, Tata Electronics, and Pegatron. Other group companies, LG Display and LG Innotek, are also expanding their business in India.
