Ledger has confirmed that these letters are fraudulent and part of a phishing attempt. The company has previously warned users about impersonators contacting wallet owners by phone. Ledger emphasizes that it will never ask customers for their 24-word recovery phrase, and any request for this information should be considered a scam.
