Ledger Live Integrates MEV-optimized Ethereum Yields with Chorus One

Ledger Live, a prominent platform in the cryptocurrency space, has recently announced a significant enhancement to its services by integrating MEV-optimized
(ETH) yields through a partnership with Chorus One. This integration, detailed in a press release, marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of Ethereum staking, offering users a more streamlined and potentially more lucrative staking experience. The collaboration between Ledger and Chorus One involves the embedding of Chorus One’s MEV Max Vault directly into Ledger Live. This integration allows users to stake their Ethereum directly from their hardware wallets, accessing Chorus One’s high-performance staking infrastructure through the “Earn” and “Discover” sections of the Ledger Live app. This move eliminates the need for third-party dashboards or manual delegation, consolidating staking, MEV extraction, and security into a single, user-friendly interface.
For Ledger’s extensive user base, this upgrade represents a significant improvement in the staking process. It simplifies the complexities traditionally associated with Ethereum staking, making it more accessible to retail investors. The integration merges institutional-grade staking strategies with retail-friendly access, all while maintaining the security of self-custody.
Chorus One’s MEV Max system leverages advanced infrastructure and proprietary research to maximize validator rewards. By closely collaborating with Ethereum block builders, the system strategically selects transactions to enhance staker returns. This approach has already yielded impressive results, with two blocks this year delivering 159.9 ETH and 134 ETH, respectively, significantly outperforming typical staking rewards.
The mechanics of this integration are designed to be straightforward yet powerful. Users stake their ETH through Ledger Live’s interface, and Chorus One’s validators bundle transactions to maximize MEV opportunities. Profits from these transactions are shared with stakers, creating a network effect where larger stakes can lead to more consistent rewards. Importantly, users do not need to manage validators or understand the complexities of MEV to benefit from this system.
This integration is just the first phase of the collaboration between Ledger and Chorus One. Future plans include exploring looped staking and osETH minting. osETH is a liquid staking token that enables re-staking and participation in decentralized finance (DeFi) without the need to unlock ETH, further enhancing the flexibility and utility of staked assets.
The partnership between Ledger and Chorus One represents a significant step forward in the Ethereum staking landscape. By integrating MEV-optimized yields directly into Ledger Live, the two companies are making Ethereum staking more accessible, efficient, and potentially more rewarding for users. This move could reshape how retail investors approach Ethereum staking, offering a more seamless and profitable experience.
