LayerZero Invests in Plume Network to Bridge Real World Assets and Blockchain
LayerZero, a leading blockchain interoperability protocol, has completed a strategic investment in Plume Network, a pioneering platform for on-chain Real World Asset (RWA) management. This first-round investment, led by LayerZero in collaboration with Lightspeed Faction and Animoca Ventures, aims to accelerate Plume's mission of integrating real-world assets into the blockchain ecosystem.
Plume Network, the first full-stack L1 RWA chain and ecosystem designed for Real World Asset Finance (RWAfi), simplifies the asset onboarding process and enables seamless integration of RWA with DeFi protocols. Its EVM-compatible environment allows for the tokenization of diverse real-world assets, facilitating global distribution and practical value creation for native crypto users. With over 180 projects deployed on the network, Plume has built a robust ecosystem for RWA management.
Through the investment, Plume will utilize LayerZero technology to build a full-chain interoperable application. Its revenue protocol, SkyLink, will seamlessly and securely distribute RWA income across a multi-chain ecosystem by integrating LayerZero's lzRead. By creating mirrored YieldTokens, SkyLink allows investors to access and manage institutional-grade income on any blockchain without permission.
The strategic investment through LayerZero's lzCatalyst program demonstrates both parties' commitment to advancing the boundaries of cross-chain finance and digital asset management. By supporting Plume's innovative interoperability solution, LayerZero is further solidifying its position as a key player in the blockchain ecosystem.
