According to recruiter Louis Diamond, 2025 is set to see a significant number of large teams of financial advisors ($1B AUM) change firms due to changes in compensation at UBS and LPL Financial Holdings's acquisition of Commonwealth Financial Network. Bank of America Merrill Lynch's renewed appetite to compete and pay top-notch recruiting bonuses to advisors is also contributing to this trend. While the number of advisors moving firms may be normal, the quality and size of teams in motion are expected to be higher than ever.
