Landstar System's operating income fell 49% YoY to $29.6 million in Q4 due to a court case and three crashes that increased insurance and claims costs to $56 million. The company plans to appeal a $22.8 million damages judgment, citing a previous jury determination that it was only 15% responsible for the incident. Insurance premiums have also spiked around $22 million for the annual policy ending May 31, 2026.
