A Lancashire house damaged by fire sold for £168,000 at auction, despite having a guide price of £46,000. The property, located in the village of Cockerham, received a record 108 bids, with nine bidders competing for the four-bedroom detached home. The new owner can redevelop the property or knock it down and build something new, subject to planning permission.
