Labor Day Box Office Falls Short of Expectations with "Weapons" Taking Top Spot

The Labor Day weekend box office was slow, with a total of $82.9 million earned from Friday to Monday. Universal's re-release of "Jaws" finished second, while Warner Bros.' "Weapons" topped the box office with $12.78 million. "Weapons" has maintained its stranglehold on the box office since its wide release on August 8, earning $134.79 million.
