Crypto Exchange Kraken Launches New Payments Platform

Crypto exchange Kraken has launched a new payments platform, Kraken Pay, which allows customers to transfer assets directly from their exchange accounts. The platform supports more than 300 fiat currencies and crypto tokens, with sending assets being free but converting assets from one currency to another when making a transfer coming with fees. Kraken global head of consumer Mark Greenberg stated, "Crypto isn’t just the future of finance — it’s the now. We’re eliminating the barriers of slow payments and outrageous fees while bringing real-world utility to your fingertips."

Crypto Payments Landscape Expanding

Kraken Pay is the latest product in the growing crypto payments landscape. Payment service Venmo dipped its toe in the crypto pool back in 2021, and Ripple says its payments product is getting a facelift this year. The payments space, from cross-border and remittances to peer-to-peer transactions, has long been an area crypto fans insist is ripe for disruption. With more crypto-friendly federal regulators in charge and increased retail and institutional investor interest, 2025 may be the year we really start to see this sector of crypto take off.

US crypto firms are expanding their offerings as Donald Trump takes over. The popular Solana meme coin Dogwifhat (WIF) is poised for a bullish trend reversal as it appears to have completed a macro double-top correction. Meanwhile, experts claim Donald Trump’s meme coin Official Trump ($TRUMP) has also bottomed out. Legendary trader Blunz believes the Dogwifhat price may have hit a local bottom, with the coin bouncing 35% from its $0.98 bottom, trading as high as $1.33 on Wednesday. Popular crypto trader Muro has opened a long position on Donald Trump’s meme coin, Official Trump ($TRUMP), with Unknown Trader also eyeing a rally to $35.
