Kopin Corporation has received a contract update for the Next-Generation Short-Range Interceptor (NGSRI) Visual Display Subsystem (VDS) from Lockheed Martin. The contract funds the build and test of high-resolution VDS assemblies, including Kopin's OLED microdisplay, for integration into the Command Launch Assembly. Kopin will deliver fully assembled "All-Up Round" units for simulated and operational missile launch test scenarios. The NGSRI program aims to advance the capabilities of short-range missile defense systems.

Kopin Corporation (NASDAQ: KOPN), a leading provider of application-specific optical systems and high-performance microdisplays, has received a contract update for the Next-Generation Short-Range Interceptor (NGSRI) Visual Display Subsystem (VDS) from Lockheed Martin. The contract, announced on July 31, 2025, funds the build and test of high-resolution VDS assemblies that include Kopin's proprietary organic light emitting diode (OLED) microdisplay, drive electronics, and optical designs. These assemblies will be integrated into the Command Launch Assembly (CLA), a key component of the U.S. Army’s NGSRI initiative.

Under the Phase 2 contract update, Kopin will deliver fully assembled "All-Up Round" units for use in simulated and operational missile launch test scenarios. The NGSRI program aims to advance the capabilities of short-range missile defense systems, making Kopin's high-performance VDS assemblies an ideal solution for advanced missile systems.

Bill Maffucci, Kopin’s Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, expressed his pleasure with the contract update: “We are very pleased to have received the Phase 2 award for this critical program. We believe Kopin’s high-performance VDS assemblies offer an ideal solution for advanced missile systems and look forward to supporting the continued success of the NGSRI program.”

Forward-looking statements, as defined by the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, are included in the press release. These statements include predictions about Kopin's belief that its high-performance VDS assemblies are suitable for advanced missile systems and its expectation to support the NGSRI program's success. Risks and uncertainties, such as those described in Kopin's filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, may affect the actual results.
