Merck Animal Health's EXZOLT CATTLE-CA1 has received conditional FDA approval as a pour-on solution to prevent and treat infestations caused by New World screwworm larvae and cattle fever tick. The product contains the active ingredient fluralaner and is effective against infestations in beef cattle two months of age and older. It has a 98-day meat withdrawal period and will be available by prescription in the first quarter of 2026.
