"Killer Whales Returns: $1.5M Crypto Prize Pool Lures Global Viewers"

Crypto reality series Killer Whales is set to return for its second season, bringing with it a $1.5 million prize pool for startups. The Web3 business reality TV show aims to attract hundreds of millions of viewers to the crypto industry, following the success of its first season which reached over 600 million viewers across 65 countries.
The second season of Killer Whales will be available to watch from March 6 on X and Hello TV, with a global premiere on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, TUBI, and Google Play set for April. Contestants will compete for a prize pool that includes a $1.5 million incubation fund, mentorship opportunities, and a $100,000 accelerator package provided by CoinMarketCap, which co-produced the show alongside Hello Labs and AltCoinDaily. Hello Labs will also provide ongoing strategic support for the winning projects.
The show's co-founder and CEO, Sander Gortjes, believes that the second season may bring more retail attention to the crypto industry. He told Cointelegraph, "We break down how blockchain projects operate and why blockchain technology has benefits to the users and companies building service models on top of it. This has resulted in a broad positive feedback from the retail audience, our viewing numbers and reviews show that."
The second season has made significant changes to answer the audience's feedback, including a broader set of "whales" and participants translating the culture of Web3, more tech-driven projects, and a grand prize: the $1.5 million USD acceleration prize.
The new "whale" judges of this season include Mario Nawfal, Anthony Scaramucci, Yevheniia Broshevan, Illa Da Producer, Gracy Chen, Wendy O, Altcoin Daily, Ran Neuner, Jonathan Isaac, George Tung, and Mika Lallouz, and is hosted by Thread Guy.
