Janus Henderson, a UK-based investment giant, is facing a lawsuit for hundreds of millions of pounds after its subsidiary, Victory Park Capital, was accused of behaving like a "mafia gangster" in its pursuit of a rival company, Calumet. Victory Park allegedly interfered with Calumet's business, recruited its staff, and eventually made a lowball offer to buy it out. The Delaware Court of Chancery has dismissed Victory's attempt to have the claim thrown out. Janus Henderson believes the suit is without merit and will continue to defend itself.
