Speaking at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri on Wednesday (July 16, 2025), Mr. Ananda Babu alleged that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy failed to perform the duties of an opposition leader after winning 11 seats in the elections [1].Mr. Ananda Babu accused Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy of governing the state in an authoritarian manner for five years, registering false cases against thousands, and empowering the police system to achieve his personal vendetta against opposition leaders. He also alleged that the previous YSRCP government committed atrocities against BCs and SCs, treating them like slaves and untouchables respectively. Mr. Ananda Babu questioned Mr. Jagan's right to speak for their welfare [1].
Mr. Ananda Babu criticized Mr. Jagan's frequent public visits under the pretext of consoling the deaths of party workers, describing them as political drama intended to provoke unrest. He also questioned Mr. Jagan's objection to a movie depicting violence, asking why a political leader who quoted violent movie dialogues in public now fears cinematic depictions [1].
The MLA accused the YSRCP government of driving away major investors such as Amara Raja, LuLu, and others, affecting the state’s industrial growth. He alleged that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy borrowed heavily in the Governor's name [1].
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu strongly condemned the alleged assault on a photojournalist by YSRCP supporters during YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy's visit to the Bangarupalem mango market yard in Chittoor district. The Chief Minister assured full support to the injured photojournalist and directed officials to ensure justice [2].
