Israel's attack severely damages Iranian cyber police (FATA) headquarters in Tehran.

On June 18, Israel launched a series of extensive airstrikes targeting key Iranian military and security sites, including the Law Enforcement Force headquarters in Tehran. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out these strikes as part of ongoing operations against Iran's military capabilities [1].

The airstrikes were part of a larger campaign aimed at rolling back Iran's threat to Israel's survival. The Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed that the IAF had destroyed the Iranian regime's Internal Security Headquarters, which is the central repressive arm of the Iranian government [1].

In addition to the Law Enforcement Force headquarters, the IAF targeted several other high-profile locations, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) weapons facilities in Tehran’s District 3, missile bases near Karaj, and key installations in Kermanshah and Lorestan. The strikes also targeted the Parchin site, a key military complex suspected of housing nuclear weapons-related research [1].

The IAF's operations were not limited to ground targets. On June 16 and 17, the IAF carried out a series of strikes against missile launch and storage sites deep inside Iran, destroying over 70 Iranian air defense systems and confirming the bombing of three AH-1 helicopters at a military base in Kermanshah [1].

The Israeli military also hacked Iran’s state television broadcast, urging the population to rise against the regime. This hack, confirmed by Iranian authorities, was carried out to exploit Iran’s satellite signal and was followed by a temporary internet shutdown imposed by the Iranian regime [1].

The Iranian response was swift and severe. The IRGC issued threats to destroy any regional bases used against Iran and warned host countries of severe consequences should they provide access to such facilities. The Iranian regime also reported that Tehran police had foiled an Israeli plot, uncovering 127 kilograms of explosive materials [1].

The international community has been closely monitoring the escalating tensions. Britain has moved additional military assets, including fighter jets, to the Middle East to provide support across the region [2]. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered to help de-escalate the conflict, condemning the Israeli strikes and offering his condolences to the Iranian president [2].

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran has raised concerns about potential economic and geopolitical repercussions. The escalation could lead to disruptions in global oil supplies and potentially impact financial markets. Investors are advised to closely monitor the situation and consider the implications for their portfolios.
