Iridium Communications has been awarded a 5-year contract worth up to $85.8 million from the US Space Force's Space Systems Command Commercial Space Office. The System Infrastructure Transformation and Hybridization contract will support enhancements to the Iridium and US DoD EMSS Service Center and related facilities. The contract enables technological refreshes, lifecycle upgrades, and security enhancements to the Enhanced Mobile Satellite Services Service Center, Technical Support Center, and Defense Ground Station.
