The Israeli attack launched in Tehran, Iran, on the 13th has resulted in 329 injuries and 78 deaths.

Israel to Close All Embassies Abroad

On the 13th, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement declaring that Israeli embassies worldwide would be closed and would no longer provide consular services. The ministry also advised all Israelis abroad to complete a questionnaire to report their locations and statuses to the Israeli government.

The Israeli Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden, posted on its website: "In light of recent developments, Israeli missions around the world will be closed and will not provide consular services."

Trump Warns Iran of "More Brutal" Strikes

U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran on social media on the 13th that the next wave of strikes against Iran would be "more brutal," urging Iran to reach a nuclear deal before facing destruction.

In a post early on the 13th, Trump wrote that the U.S. had "given Iran chance after chance to reach a deal" and warned that if no agreement was reached, the strikes against Iran would be "far beyond anything they know, expect, or have been told," as the U.S. possesses "the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR."

He added, “Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come. And they know how to use it.”

Trump described Israel's early morning attack on Iran on the 13th as a "massacre" and warned that the next wave of strikes was imminent and would be "more brutal." He stated, "Iran must reach a deal before it is destroyed."

Earlier that day, the Israeli military issued a statement confirming that its operation against Iran in the early hours of the 13th had killed three of Iran's top military commanders: Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander Hossein Salami, and Emergency Operations Commander Gholam-Ali Rashid.

Since April of this year, the U.S. and Iran have held multiple rounds of negotiations on the Iranian nuclear issue. The sixth round of talks was scheduled to take place on the 15th in Oman.
