iQIYI Wins Six Awards at CMG China Micro Short Drama Festival

iQIYI, a prominent online entertainment service in China, made a significant mark at the inaugural CMG China Micro Short Drama Festival held in Yantai, Shandong. The festival, organized by key industry bodies, celebrated the best in micro short dramas produced over the past year. iQIYI's six original works garnered multiple awards, underscoring the platform's commitment to producing high-quality content in this genre.

The festival featured 14 annual recommendations, highlighting the industry's achievements. iQIYI's micro short dramas received multiple prestigious awards. "Original Sin," "The Sweet Wind of July," and "Move the Bricks, Miss!" were named "Annual Quality Micro Short Drama" at the CMG China Micro Short Drama Festival. "Strange Stories from Tang Dynasty" was awarded "Platform Annual Anticipated Micro Short Drama Release," "Model" received the "Upward Force Release" award, and "Home and Away" was named "Annual Micro Short Drama." These works were recognized for their solid narrative foundations, high production quality, diverse themes, and positive value expressions, reflecting iQIYI's unique content features in the micro short drama genre.

iQIYI's founder and CEO, Gong Yu, attended the festival and participated in the launch ceremony of the "China High-Quality Micro Short Drama Exhibition Plan." Alongside other distinguished guests, Gong Yu officially launched the initiative. The plan aims to promote and showcase high-quality micro short dramas with "timeliness, people-oriented, and leading" characteristics. During the annual works recommendation session, Gong Yu and other guests presented awards to the winning works.

Li Li, the general manager of iQIYI's Drama Center, introduced the production details of the platform's highly anticipated original short drama, "Strange Stories from Tang Dynasty," during the "Annual Anticipated Micro Short Drama Release" session.
