Apple has recently launched AppleCare One, a new subscription service designed to safeguard multiple Apple devices under a single policy. This service, available for $19.99 per month, includes all the benefits of AppleCare+ and covers up to three devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
The new subscription plan offers comprehensive coverage, including battery replacements, unlimited accidental damage repairs, theft and loss protection for the iPad and Apple Watch, 24/7 priority access to Apple experts, and fast Apple-certified service. Users can enroll in AppleCare One starting on July 24, either in an Apple Store or from their iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
One of the key advantages of AppleCare One is the cost savings. Customers can sign up for their iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch and save up to $11 per month compared to enrolling in individual AppleCare+ plans for each device. Additionally, the cost of adding more items is $5.99 per month.
Apple has also expanded the eligibility for older devices, allowing users to add devices that are up to four years old, a significant change from the previous 60-day window. However, older devices must be in "good condition" and may need to pass a diagnostic check before being enrolled. Headphones can also be added, but only if they are less than a year old.
AppleCare One also simplifies plan management. If a covered device is traded in at an Apple store, the subscription automatically transfers to the new device.
This new offering joins Apple's growing ecosystem of services, alongside AppleOne, which bundles Apple Music, iCloud+, TV+, and more. Apple recently reported another record-breaking quarter of its services revenue, indicating strong demand for these subscription-based services.
