Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani to become Danantara Indonesia's CEO – minister

Rosan Roeslani, a seasoned businessman and former Minister of Investment and Hilirisasi under President Joko Widodo, has been appointed as the new CEO of Badan Pengelola Investasi (BPI) Danantara. This appointment comes after Rosan's tenure as Minister ended on August 19, 2024 [1].

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from Antwerpen European University in Belgium [1]. Rosan's appointment as CEO of Danantara Indonesia is not his first collaboration with President Prabowo Subianto. During Prabowo's presidential campaign in 2024, Rosan served as the Chairman of the National Campaign Team for the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and the Indonesian National Awakening Party (PKB) [1]. After Prabowo's election, Rosan was appointed as the Minister of Investment and Hilirisasi and the Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) [1].

This appointment further strengthens Rosan's position within the Prabowo administration. According to the structure outlined in the Indonesian Business Competition Law, there are two executive positions below the CEO of BPI Danantara: the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) [1].
