Integra Resources (ITRG) has signed a groundbreaking Relationship Agreement with the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes for the DeLamar gold and silver mining project in southwest Idaho. This unprecedented agreement, which focuses on indigenous recognition, economic empowerment, cultural and environmental protection, and community investment, marks a significant milestone in sustainable economic development on federally managed lands and sets a new standard for mining project development in the Lower 48 States.

The agreement, developed over five years of collaboration, provides a framework for co-management throughout the mine's life. It aims to mitigate social license risks, which are often the most challenging hurdles for mining projects on traditional territories. By securing tribal support before the Environmental Impact Statement process begins, Integra has positioned the DeLamar Project for a potentially smoother permitting pathway. The March 2025 submission of the Mine Plan of Operations to the BLM already initiated the regulatory process, and this agreement should facilitate more predictable interactions with federal agencies.

Political endorsements from Idaho's congressional delegation, including Senators Crapo, Risch, and Representative Fulcher, provide additional regulatory confidence, suggesting the project has bipartisan support at the federal level. This political backing, combined with tribal partnership, creates a uniquely favorable development environment for a mining project.

While the press release does not provide specific economic terms, the agreement's focus on economic empowerment and participation signals potential revenue sharing or employment commitments that will affect project economics. The DeLamar Project, with its $140 million investment to date and historical production history (previously operated by Kinross until 1998), now has a clearer path to becoming a producing asset with reduced development timeline uncertainties.

Integra Resources, a precious metals producer in the Great Basin of the Western United States, has a strong portfolio of development-stage heap leach projects, including the DeLamar Project and the Nevada North Project. The company's principal operating asset is the Florida Canyon Mine in Nevada.
