Injective has partnered with Circle to integrate native USDC and launch support for the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), replacing bridged stablecoin infrastructure with a direct minting and burning mechanism. Native USDC on Injective is minted directly on the chain by Circle and is a 1:1 dollar-backed asset under Circle's existing regulatory framework. CCTP works by burning USDC on the source chain and minting an equivalent amount directly on Injective, ensuring supply integrity across chains and eliminating custodied pools of assets. The integration enables direct, trust-minimized transfers between Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, and Injective, creating a functional bridge between two ecosystems.
