Injective, a prominent blockchain network, has made a significant move by adopting artificial intelligence to accelerate the development of decentralized applications (dApps). This initiative comes as the AI craze has intensified in 2025, with

aiming to leverage this trend to overcome challenges such as limited developer activity and slow development pace.

Injective's new platform, iBuild, is designed to simplify the process of building dApps using natural language prompts. This innovation allows anyone to create dApps without requiring programming knowledge, thereby bypassing one of the major limitations to network adoption. The platform has the potential to nudge the network onto the fast track for adoption by making dApp development more accessible.

The announcement of iBuild has garnered positive criticism, with some respondents praising it as a potential game-changer. The ability to develop dApps through AI prompts may eliminate bottlenecks related to the cost of development and accelerate the rate of development, leading to rapid ecosystem growth. This approach also highlights the need to fuel more network activity, considering the cool down over the last few months.

Injective recognizes that encouraging robust dApp growth could be the best strategy towards reigniting network activity. The fact that weekly DEX volume declined sharply confirmed that network activity had cooled down drastically. The highest recorded weekly volume was north of $190 million and it was observed between 10 and 17 December, 2023. The recent weekly volume of $4.2 million was a fraction of the triple-digit figures achieved last year.

INJ price action has also been cooling off compared to its performance in 2024. The coin exchanged hands at $10.8 at press time which was equivalent to a 79% discount from its peak in 2024. INJ’s Money flow indicator recently signaled liquidity inflows last week which was in line with the slight uptick resulting in a resistance retest. Spot flows confirmed that demand remained weak but did not show signs of sell pressure resurgence. This suggests that Injective could potentially kick off the week with sustained bullish momentum. Derivatives data revealed that there was a surge in bearish expectations. This was because there was a massive surge in negative funding rates. The situation also underscored the possibility of a short liquidation event if price achieves a bullish breakout. Demand remained weak at the time of observation, which also meant that a breakdown was also a probable outcome. But in the meantime, the newly launched AI-powered platform may not contribute to INJ’s performance in the short term. Its long-term potential impact will be measured based on the level of development will be fueled by iBuild.
